Today’s Challenges Demand Tomorrow’s Solutions — Today!

Climate change is here, resulting in challenges demanding innovative solutions. Among them is an urgent need to reduce emissions from air travel. The aviation industry is now looking towards Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) as the solution that will help achieve environmental goals while sustaining the growth of air travel. DGFuels has committed to delivering on that goal by leading the way in developing clean-burning fuels for aircraft engines.

What are “SAFs” and how can they offer benefits over traditional jet fuel?

SAF’s, or Sustainable Aviation Fuels, are a viable solution to reduce emissions from air travel. These clean-burning fuels have the capacity to offset substantial greenhouse gas emissions relative to traditional jet fuel. DGFuels is at the forefront of developing these alternative fuels and making them available for commercial use.

SAFs are created by refining biomass materials and other plant-based resources into clean-burning energy sources.  The benefits of using these alternative fuels over traditional jet fuel are considerable. As mentioned, they have the capacity to significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions while ensuring that aircrafts continue to fly safely and efficiently. Additionally, these alternative fuels are more cost-effective in comparison to fossil fuels due to their lower production costs and higher efficiency levels.

More importantly, using alternative fuels helps in reducing our dependence on fossil fuels which contribute greatly towards global warming effects and climate change.

With the right safeguards in place, the aviation industry can make significant progress when it comes to cutting down emissions and promoting sustainability with alternative energies.

How does DGFuels take flight above the competition?

DGFuels has set the bar when it comes to utilizing biomass feedstock for an efficient and clean-burning energy source. As the leader in developing and producing SAFs, DGFuels offers a fuel production system with higher utilization efficiency than most of its competitors.

DG Fuels’ synergistic process breaks the carbon utilization barrier and has achieved a utilization efficiency of up to 97%.

Historically, cellulosic biofuels facilities have typically utilized only about 25% of the carbon in their biomass feedstock into products. In an important technological step forward, DG Fuels’ synergistic process breaks the carbon utilization barrier and has achieved a utilization efficiency of up to 97%. Increased carbon utilization efficiency of this extent combined with renewable hydrogen in a drop in replacement fuel results in more than 100% lower greenhouse gas emissions on a full life cycle basis.

Additionally, DG Fuels carbonized liquid hydrogen replacement fuel has a net 7% improved energy density than conventional fuels improving payload or range dynamics.

For example, a fully fueled Boeing 747 aircraft using DGFuels Sustainable Aviation Fuels product would have an additional 17,500 lb. payload for the same range of traditional jet fuel.

How DGFuels Achieves Sustainability

The way in which DGFuels is achieving sustainability with its alternative fuels is truly remarkable. DGFuels utilizes the Fischer-Tropsch process to produce clean-burning fuels from renewable resources, including biomass and other plant-based materials. This method has been modified in several ways that reduce the quantity of feedstock needed, thereby eliminating the need for carbon sequestration and reducing feedstock handling costs and complexity. Furthermore, DGF’s aviation fuel is certified by ASTM International, meaning it meets all necessary industry standards regarding quality, safety, and performance.

Not only does DGFuels meet all these requirements, but the unique production system also enhances aircraft efficiency. By using clean burning fuels with a higher energy density than traditional jet fuel, aircraft can carry more weight or fly further distances with each tankful. This increased efficiency means less fuel burn off during flight and fewer emissions released into the atmosphere. As a result, air travel powered by DGFuel’s SAFs are much kinder on the environment than those powered by traditional jet fuels.

In addition to what’s mentioned above, DGFuel is actively leading research and development efforts to advance biofuel technology even further. The company has implemented multiple catalytic processes to increase yields of valuable hydrocarbons for use as liquid substitutes for fossil fuels. Coupled with their ongoing effort to reduce feedstock needs and optimize energy densities of their products, DGFuels is committed to bring cleaner skies closer within reach.

Take Flight with DGFUELs

DGFuels is revolutionizing the aviation industry with its sustainable and clean-burning alternative fuels. By utilizing renewable resources, the company is able to produce a fuel that meets ASTM standards while also reducing greenhouse gas emissions on a full life cycle basis. The increased energy density of their product means aircraft can carry more weight or fly further distances with each tankful, resulting in fewer emissions released into the atmosphere. DGFuels’ commitment to research and development will continue to push boundaries for biofuel technology so we can bring cleaner skies closer within reach. With these advancements, air travel powered by Sustainable Aviation Fuels is our future – one filled with sustainability, efficiency, and reduced carbon footprints!

By investing in these technologies today, we can make sure that our skies remain blue for generations to come!
